Privacy Policy

• Anonymous device ID A random identifier generated on your device the first time you open the app. It is never linked to your name, email, Apple ID, or any account. It lets us count your reports and prevent spam.
• Wait-time reports The status (short wait, long wait, etc.) you choose to submit, paired with your anonymous ID and the place you're reporting about. No message, photo, or description is collected.
• Saved favorites Places you add to Favorites are stored on our servers so they persist across app reinstalls. These are associated with your anonymous ID only.
• Nickname (optional) If you choose to set a display name in the app, it is stored and shown next to your mayor status at a place. You can leave this blank or change it at any time.
• Push notification token (optional) If you grant notification permission, we store a device token to send you alerts for your favorited places (e.g., when a place gets a report). You can revoke this anytime in iOS Settings.

Anonymous IDs are used solely to count report contributions, calculate mayor standings, and enforce daily report limits. Wait-time data is shown to other users in real time to help them decide where to go. Favorites and nicknames are synced so your settings survive reinstalls. Push tokens are used only to deliver alerts you opted into — we do not send marketing messages.

We do not build profiles, run ad targeting, or share any data with third parties for commercial purposes.

• Google Places API —  provides place names, addresses, photos, and business hours. Data is fetched on demand and governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• Supabase —  hosts our database and serverless functions. Reports, favorites, nicknames, and push tokens are stored here. Governed by Supabase's Privacy Policy.

Wait-time reports are retained for 30 days for standing calculations and up to 90 days for historical busy-time patterns, then automatically deleted. Favorites, nicknames, and push tokens are kept until you request deletion or uninstall the app.

To delete all data associated with your anonymous ID, email us at SkipQ.feedback@gmail.com. We will process your request within 30 days.

If you are located in the European Union, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any data associated with your device's anonymous ID. Contact us at SkipQ.feedback@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.

If we make material changes to what data we collect or how we use it, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
